Given to Austria a “Blank Check” The “blank check” as a promise of unconditional support for whatever action they might take to punish Serbia.

Austria declared war to Serbia

This is thought to be the beginning of WWI. Austria attacked Serbia, without realizing Russia was on their side, but they were confidence they counted with German support. With Oskar Potiorek as the general in charge.
